Campaign to attract tourism to Portland, the mecca of sneakers.
Context
Portland has been a popular travel destination in Japan for several years now.
Many Japanese tourists visit Portland because of its unique restaurants, cafes, and the close proximity between urban and natural environments.
In a sense, while the general popularity of Portland has increased, the Portland Convention and Visitors Bureau was eager to convey more of Portland's core attractions to Japan and create a deeper connection with Portland.
In order to convey the deep sense of Portland that the slogan "Keep Portland Wired" describes, the Portland Bureau of Tourism needed ideas on which attractions to convey to which people in Japan, and how to do so in a uniquely Portland Wired way.

Creative Idea
We focused on the fact that Portland is a mecca for sneakers.
We developed "Free Pass Sneakers," a special experience for sneakerheads if you wear them.
We created a super difficult quiz on Instagram and held a one-day treasure hunt game to find those sneakers in Harajuku, the mecca of Japanese street culture.
